As it does not rely on being plugged into a mains power socket, it can be moved to wherever it is required, making it a mobile solution. Consequently, it is commonly used in off-road applications such as in agriculture, construction, quarrying and mining.Some of my vehicles have a 12v battery and some have a 24v. Can I use one refuelling pump for both?Best practice is either to buy a dual voltage battery powered diesel transfer pump such as the Panther DC, or have two pumps on site. You are technically able to use a 12v fuel transfer pump on a 24v battery and vice versa, but you will have to half the duty cycle to 15 minutes on/15 mins off to prevent it from burning it out. It may also have an impact on the life span of your pump.
