Description Gae Aulenti, an Italian architect active during the post-war period has designed buildings, interiors, furniture and lamps during her career, many of them well-known such as the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, the Palazzo Grassi in Venice, the Pipistrello and Oracolo floor and table lamp. Note that the foot switch is a design classic on its own by Achille Castiglioni. Materials: White opaline glass on top of aluminum base, the glass sphere contains an E27 bulb, the base has two smaller E14 screw-in bulbs. Origination: Italy, 1960s. Condition: in good vintage condition. Glass not damaged, wiring ok. Some signs of age on the perforated metal base as pictured.
