Description “The S31 stool plays on the assembly of three converging legs and manages to achieve a solid, stable base that takes the full weight of a person on a small seat surface. As with all furniture by Chapo, these pieces show excellent craftsmanship, are constructed in solid wood and were made to last. French elmwood has become extremely rare due to Dutch elm disease. For this reason, recent editions are generally made of oak or imported elmwood, which have a noticeably different appearance compared to the warm, aged look of vintage Chapo pieces. Condition: Overall very good vintage condition, ready for daily use. Stool was cleaned and oiled with cooked linseed oil as per Chapo’s original instructions.
