Description Ingo Maurer (1932–2019) was a pioneering German lighting designer known for his artistic approach to illumination. Dubbed the “poet of light,” he blended technology with creativity, crafting iconic pieces that challenged conventional design. His Seven Rats lamp was exclusively designed and produced in 2007 to celebrate the Year of the Rat in 2008. This impressive piece features small cages made of steel with a brass/metal finish.
