9202B EcoGym Floor 2 cm Class B – Technical flooring made of recycled rubber Technical flooring made from an agglomerate of ultrafine recycled rubber granules, with straight edges and chamfered bevel. Designed to cushion the impact of falling free weights such as kettlebells, dumbbells, and barbells, EcoGym Floor 9202B represents excellence in the market of single-color recycled rubber tiles with straight edges, thanks to its construction features and finishing quality. During the design phase or when renewing the Fire Prevention Certificate, fire safety designers may consider it essential—especially for escape routes in gyms or sports centers—to install tiles with a higher fire reaction class than standard rubber flooring. EcoGym Floor 2 cm Class B, Code 9202B, was developed precisely to meet this requirement, as it is rated Class B in terms of fire reaction. Compared to EcoGym Rubber Floor 9202S, this Class B version is slightly more compact, resulting in a subtle glossy effect. EcoGym Rubber Floor Class B, Code 9202B, does not contain toxic substances or materials such as PVC, plasticizers, formaldehyde, asbestos, cadmium, or CFCs. Key features High impact absorption capacity: excellent comfort during floor exercises Excellent grip and stability during workouts, even in the presence of sweat on the floor Exceptional mechanical resistance, with fewer cuts and incisions compared to other flooring types Chamfered edge: processing that creates an inclined edge, minimizing the visibility of joints between tiles Fire classification: Bfl-s1 Available thickness: 6 mmDimensions: 1000 × 1000 mm (1 sqm) The ability to absorb impacts, the excellent comfort during floor exercises, and the outstanding grip—even in the presence of sweat—are a direct result of the ultrafine granular composition. The use of recycled rubber not only represents a virtuous reuse of materials but also has a positive impact on production costs. It is important to note that impact absorption capacity must be properly considered when the flooring is used to protect an existing floor. A few millimeters of rubber cannot completely absorb every type of impact. The force generated by the fall of a heavily loaded barbell will always be partially transferred to the underlying floor. The use of high-quality ultrafine rubber powder ensures the production of a compact, stable, single-layer tile that is comfortable to the touch and more cost-effective than double-layer tiles, which require the production and bonding of two rubber layers. Ultrafine rubber powder stands out for its high quality, achieved through careful processing that removes impurities such as stones and non-rubber elements. This process ensures a homogeneous and pure composition, essential for producing precise, defect-free tiles. EcoGym Floor 9202S represents excellence in the market of single-color recycled rubber tiles with straight edges. In addition to the use of top-quality ultrafine rubber granules with very few non-rubber impurities, the tile finishing and quality control processes are key factors behind this construction excellence. The use of high-precision molds, regular maintenance, careful temperature control, and accurate adhesive dosing are essential to achieve tiles with tight tolerances and minimal aesthetic defects. In technical terms, the chamfer on all four edges of the rubber tile is called a bevel. The bevel creates an inclined edge that helps minimize the visibility of joints between tiles when they are installed edge to edge. The installation of straight-edge tiles, sports use, and the thermal deformation of rubber can inevitably lead to the appearance of joints between tiles, especially when they are installed without adhesive or without the use of double-sided tape along the perimeter. The presence of a bevel alone is not sufficient to eliminate joints; their effective minimization can only be achieved through careful installation. EcoGym is manufactured without the use of hazardous substances in accordance with CEE 76/769, and without the use of adhesives containing formaldehyde in accordance with EN 717/1. The tiles measure 1000 × 1000 mm. As a general guideline for calculating the number of tiles required, it is advisable to add 20% to the total square meters of the area.Example: 30 sqm 20% = 36 tiles. For cleaning, it is sufficient to vacuum the surface and then wash the floor using water and a minimal amount of detergent. White deposits or footprints may appear due to nearby dusty areas; in such cases, floor brushes with integrated sponges are useful. For surfaces larger than 150 sqm, we recommend the use of floor-cleaning machines with rotating brushes capable of washing and collecting dirty water.
